council lease
The expenditure of significant funding by the club for irrigation and other items within the Development Plan are reliant upon the signing of a new lease with Council. After a lengthy process of working through the various issues with council the lease has now been signed. President Tony Pope and Secretary/Manager Rob Griffin signed the 15 year lease with a right of renewal for a further 15 years. The lease was then returned to council for the final sign off by them. A copy of the lease is held in the clubhouse should any member wish to peruse. The next step in the plan is to get signoff of the Golf Course Development Plan. Tony and Rob visited Auckland City Council on the 10th December to go over final requirements of council prior to the signing. There are still a few items requiring clarification by the club and these are being taken care of over the Xmas period. Hopefully, when re-submitted in the new year the plan will finally be signed and we can get on with the various stages documented in it.

new cart shed
The Golf Club now needs to house 5 Golf Carts, 1 of which is a members Cart which is left at the club for use by other members.

With the purchase of new machinery during 2007 including a new Tractor and Sand Spreader the implement shed is full to capacity. We applied to the Community Trust for funding for a new Cart Shed early in 2007 and we received confirmation of a grant of $10,000 in June. Resource consents were issued in January 2008 and the construction was completed in June 2008. The new Cart Shed is now fully functional and includes a secure section for storage of members clubs at an annual charge of $100.
